New York police officers held their own rally in support of former President Trump outside the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The rally, which took place amidst heightened security measures following recent assassination attempts, aimed to express their endorsement of the Republican candidate, citing his unwavering support for law enforcement.

Lou Civello, President of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association, emphasized that the union's support for Trump stemmed from his consistent backing of the police force, unlike his Democratic counterparts. Civello specifically pointed to anti-police Democratic policies such as the "defund the police" movement and leniency towards criminal justice, highlighting the release of 42 convicted cop killers in the last seven years.

Civello further criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, referencing her past comments critical of the police and her endorsement of the defunding movement. Although Harris has previously referred to herself as a "top cop" during her career as a prosecutor, she has expressed support for defunding the police and even entertained the idea of abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

According to Civello, President Trump's previous term in office directly addressed the surge of violence caused by the MS-13 gang. He recounted a chilling incident in which gang members not only killed a mother but also took the life of her young child to prevent future retribution. Civello credited Trump with playing a pivotal role in curbing the rampant MS-13 violence.

The Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association became the first police organization in the state to endorse Trump for president. Prior to attending the Trump rally, the union held a tailgate event across the street from the Coliseum, where thousands of Trump supporters eagerly gathered, hoping to secure a seat in the 18,000-seat venue.

Patrick Ryder, the Nassau County Police Commissioner, assured the public that stringent security measures were in place, making the Coliseum the safest place in the country during the rally. The strong turnout and early arrival of Trump supporters demonstrated the enthusiasm surrounding the event.

As tensions continue to rise around the Democratic rhetoric that challenges traditional law enforcement practices, the New York police rally serves as a united response to these concerns. With officers rallying behind Trump's unwavering support for law enforcement, they hope to convey the crucial role that police play in maintaining public safety and order.
