**Netflix Celebrates Success Amid Streaming Issues During Tyson vs. Paul Event**

As viewers grappled with streaming difficulties during the highly anticipated Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul event on Friday, Netflix had reason to celebrate. According to a press release on Saturday, the event, held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, reached over 60 million households. Despite technical problems, particularly during the main card, Netflix views the event as a resounding triumph.

Jake Paul won against Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in a fight that left many fans unimpressed. However, the reaction to the streaming issues overshadowed the lackluster bout. An internal memo, revealed by Bloomberg, shed light on how Netflix perceived the event's outcome. Netflix Chief Technology Officer Elizabeth Stone praised the team's efforts in managing the technical challenges posed by such an unprecedented scale.

"This unprecedented scale created many technical challenges, which the launch team tackled brilliantly by prioritizing stability of the stream for the majority of viewers," Stone wrote. She acknowledged the negative reactions on social media and in the press but emphasized that the event's overall success was a significant achievement for Netflix.

Friday's card was Netflix's entry into live combat sports streaming. The platform will soon become the home of WWE's Monday Night Raw starting in January and is expected to compete in the upcoming TV rights sweepstakes for the UFC. This event marks a major milestone as Netflix ventures further into the world of live sports broadcasting.
