### Queta's Standout Performance Sparks Hope for Increased Minutes with Celtics

Looking to make significant strides in his game, Neemias Queta expressed his desire to be a key impact player for the Boston Celtics. "I want to see a lot of growth in myself," Queta stated, emphasizing his goal of being versatile as this is crucial for prolonged game time.

Despite only playing 333 minutes across 28 games last season, averaging 11.9 minutes per game, Queta's impact was undeniable. His per-36 minute statistics were impressive, boasting 16.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks. Boston’s offensive rating significantly improved to 128.7 with him on the court, showing a net rating of plus-20.4.

During a recent game against Indiana, with the Celtics struggling, Coach Joe Mazzulla introduced Queta in the fourth quarter hoping for an energy boost. Queta exceeded expectations, helping the Celtics rally from a 24-point deficit before eventually falling in overtime. His hustle earned him a plus-18 rating over 13 minutes and 39 seconds of play, during which he notably contributed two points, nine rebounds, and a block.

Impressed with Queta's performance, Coach Mazzulla praised his effort. "I thought Neemi did a great job on both ends of the floor," Mazzulla remarked. "His activity and physicality gave us a spark. It was great stuff by him and I appreciate that."

Queta's standout performance raises the question of whether he will see more minutes alongside Boston's core players, especially with Kristaps Porzingis sidelined until at least December and Al Horford needing rest during back-to-back games. Early indications are promising, with Queta boasting a plus-19.3 net rating in 33 minutes over four appearances. Notably, the Celtics' defensive rating drops to 87.5 while he is on the court, and their rebound rate hits a team-best 53.2 percent during his playtime.

While there is still room for refinement, particularly in his offensive positioning, Queta’s energy, activity, and physical presence on the court are clear strengths. The coming month presents a significant opportunity for Queta to demonstrate his progress and secure a more prominent role within the team.
