### Harris and Trump Campaign Intensely as Presidential Election Nears

With the US presidential election just over a week away, the contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump remains neck and neck. Both candidates are on an extensive campaign tour across the country to secure crucial votes. Harris holds a slight edge in two significant national polls released on Sunday.

In the ABC News/Ipsos poll, Harris leads Trump by four points with 51% to his 47% among likely voters. Similarly, the CBS News/YouGov poll shows Harris marginally ahead with 50% to Trump's 49%. These numbers depict a tightly contested race despite Harris' previous narrow leads in both polls: a two-point advantage in the ABC poll and three points in the CBS poll.

The fierce competition extends to crucial swing states, where both candidates are intensely focusing their efforts. Harris has been emphasizing the importance of the economy and reproductive rights, making her final arguments to the electorate. Trump, on the other hand, is focusing his campaign on issues like inflation and immigration policies, especially concerning the US-Mexico border.

Interestingly, gender plays a significant role in the current polling trends. The CBS poll indicates that Harris enjoys a 12-point lead over Trump among female likely voters, with 55% supporting Harris compared to 43% for Trump. Moreover, 55% of female registered voters believe Harris would be a strong president. In contrast, Trump leads among male likely voters by nine points, garnering 54% compared to Harris' 45%. Among male registered voters, 64% consider Trump a strong leader.

The ABC poll reveals a similarly stark gender gap. Harris leads Trump by 14 points among women, while Trump is ahead by six points among men. A noteworthy detail is Harris' dominant 19-point lead with suburban women, a demographic which could play a pivotal role in states like Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

On Saturday, former First Lady Michelle Obama joined Harris at a campaign event in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Obama highlighted the importance of voting against Trump or any third-party candidate, particularly in light of recent abortion restrictions following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. She acknowledged the slow pace of change but urged voters to stay the course.

As Election Day draws closer, the competition remains fierce, with both Harris and Trump striving to mobilize their bases and secure every possible vote.
