ICARO Media Group
In an effort to ensure the safety and security of the nation's cherished National Park Service (NPS) sites, the NPS has launched a campaign urging the public to aid investigations and report any suspicious activities they encounter. With a dedicated tip line, online form, and email address, individuals now have multiple avenues to share vital information that could help safeguard these iconic natural landmarks.
Recognizing the challenges of communication in remote areas with limited cell or internet service, the NPS encourages individuals to reach out to any NPS employee for assistance in reporting suspicious activity. However, for those who prefer to maintain anonymity, there is no requirement to disclose personal identity while providing essential details.
To report suspicious incidents, sightings, or any information that could aid ongoing investigations, the NPS provides several options. Individuals can call the NPS-wide Tip Line at 888-653-0009, submit a tip online through a secure form (attachments up to 7MB are allowed), or send an email to nps_isb@nps.gov, ensuring that attachments are included if available.
It is crucial to note that in case of an emergency, individuals should dial 9-1-1 for immediate assistance.
Expressing gratitude to the vigilant visitors and members of the public who have already submitted countless tips over the past year, the NPS commends their dedication to preserving the integrity and safety of the National Park System. Additionally, the NPS extends its gratitude to those who have reported incidents on public lands administered by partner agencies, recognizing the collaborative effort required to protect these heritage sites.
To foster a strong connection with the public, the NPS invites individuals to join them on social media platforms, encouraging engagement and dialogue surrounding the need for collective action in safeguarding these treasured national sites.
By harnessing the power of the public's watchful eyes, the NPS aims to enhance security and maintain the pristine beauty of these magnificent natural landscapes, ensuring that future generations can revel in their wonders. Together, let us protect and cherish our National Park Service sites.
