In the early hours of Friday morning, a multi-car crash occurred at the intersection of Indian School Road and Central Avenue in Phoenix, resulting in one person being transported to the hospital.

According to authorities, the incident was reported around 8:15 a.m. when police were alerted to a collision involving multiple vehicles. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that five vehicles were involved in the crash.

A man involved in the collision was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. While police suspect impairment played a role in the accident, further details are being investigated.

Captured by the Arizona's Family News Chopper, video footage revealed the extent of the damage caused by the collision, with at least three cars suffering severe damages, including one vehicle being on top of another.

As a result of the crash, the road was temporarily closed for traffic. However, it was reopened at approximately 9:40 a.m., allowing vehicles to resume normal flow.

Authorities urge anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
