In a shocking incident that shook the town of Hartlepool in northeast England, a Moroccan asylum-seeker, Ahmed Alid, was sentenced to a minimum of 45 years in prison for a stabbing attack that claimed the life of a British retiree. The judge labeled the act as terrorism, driven by Alid's perceived revenge for Israel's war against Hamas.

Alid confessed to the police that he killed 70-year-old Terence Carney, stating that he sought retaliation for what he believed to be Israel's killing of innocent children. During questioning, he callously remarked, "They killed children and I killed an old man."

According to prosecutors, on October 15, Alid attacked his housemate, Iranian asylum-seeker Javed Nouri, while he was asleep, inflicting stab wounds. Fortunately, Nouri survived the assault. Alid then encountered Carney during his morning walk and proceeded to stab him six times.

The prosecution revealed that Alid expressed his desire for more victims, stating that he would have killed more if he had access to a machine gun and additional weapons.
