Country Music Star Morgan Wallen Addresses Arrest for Chair-Throwing Incident
NASHVILLE - Country music sensation Morgan Wallen has spoken out for the first time following his recent arrest after allegedly throwing a chair off a rooftop in Nashville. Wallen, who was taken into custody on Sunday, April 7, has been charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
According to the arrest warrant, Metro Police officers witnessed a chair being hurled from the top of Chief's Bar, the newly opened venue owned by country artist Eric Church. The chair landed just three feet away from the officers who were standing in front of the establishment at the time. Security personnel at the scene confirmed that Wallen was responsible for the chair being thrown.
In a statement posted on an undisclosed platform, Wallen expressed his regret and stated that he had reached out to Nashville law enforcement, his family, and the management at Chief's to make amends. He acknowledged his misconduct and took full responsibility for his actions, expressing deep respect for the hard work and dedication of the officers who ensure public safety.
Despite the incident, Wallen reassured his fans that his upcoming tour would proceed as planned, with no changes expected. Wallen's court date has been scheduled for May 3, coinciding with his Nashville tour stop. The concert remains on the schedule at this time.
Wallen was released from custody on Monday morning after posting a bond of $15,250. He will have to face the charges brought against him in court next month. It is yet to be seen how this incident will impact Wallen's reputation and career, but his fans continue to show support for him as he addresses the consequences of his actions.
