Ben Baker's daughter, Natalie, and her husband, Davy Lloyd, were among three individuals who lost their lives in a gang attack while serving as missionaries in Haiti. According to Rep. Baker, Natalie, 21, and Davy, 23, were part of a mission group in Port au Prince associated with Missions in Haiti Inc., which was founded by Davy's parents, David and Alicia Lloyd, in 2000. On Thursday evening, the group was leaving a youth church meeting when they were ambushed by a gang consisting of three trucks filled with assailants.

The mission's Facebook statement described how Davy Lloyd was tied up and assaulted before the gang allegedly looted the site and escaped. Another group arrived shortly after and launched a full attack, forcing Natalie, Davy, and the mission's Haitian director, Jude Montis, 20, to seek shelter in a nearby house. Tragically, all three individuals were shot and killed around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Former President Donald Trump reshared the news of Natalie and Davy Lloyd's deaths on his social media platform, Truth Social, expressing his condolences and calling for swift justice. Conservative Christian singer Sean Feucht also mourned the couple, describing them as martyrs for their faith in Jesus Christ.

Natalie and Davy had been married in June 2022 and dedicated their lives to missionary work, relocating to Haiti just three months later. Their most recent post, shared to mark Haitian Flag Day on May 18, showed the couple celebrating the occasion with pizza.

The organization's last update on May 19 mentioned a temporary decrease in violence, but the recent attack underscores the continued volatility and danger present in the region.
