In a surprising announcement, Noelia Voigt, the reigning Miss Utah USA 2023 and winner of the Miss USA pageant, has made the decision to resign from her prestigious title. Citing mental health as the primary reason for her resignation, Voigt shared the news on her Instagram account.

Voigt, who captured the Miss Utah USA crown in April last year, expressed the importance of prioritizing one's mental well-being in her resignation statement. She reflected on her journey as Miss USA, expressing gratitude for the support she received from fans, family, and friends.

During her tenure, Voigt passionately championed causes such as anti-bullying, dating violence awareness and prevention, immigration rights and reform, and shedding light on her Venezuelan-American heritage as the first woman from that background to win Miss USA.

She thanked her supporters for their constant encouragement and assured them that this resignation marks the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Voigt encouraged others to remain steadfast, advocate for mental health, and fearlessly embrace the future.

The Miss USA and Miss Teen USA organizations also addressed the news, acknowledging Voigt's decision and emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the well-being of their titleholders. They thanked Voigt for her service and expressed their support for her in this new phase of her life.

While the organizations are currently reviewing plans for the transition of responsibilities, they soon expect to announce the crowning of the new Miss USA.

Voigt, whose biography on the Miss USA website highlights her dreams of pursuing interior design and becoming a television host, is a former University of Alabama student. She also authored a children's book titled "Maddie the Brave" in 2020, showcasing her range of talents beyond the pageant world.

Noelia Voigt's reign as Miss USA began on September 23, 2023, when she was crowned in Reno, Nevada. Her decision to prioritize her mental health serves as a powerful reminder of the significance of self-care, even in the face of professional success.
