### Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Urges Democrats to Adopt More Aggressive Tactics Against Trump

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has called for a more combative approach from Democrats in their opposition to former President Donald Trump. Speaking at the South Carolina Democratic Party's annual convention, Walz suggested that Democrats need to take inspiration from Trump's own aggressive style.

"Maybe it's time for us to be a little meaner," Walz declared, emphasizing the need for fierceness in their political strategy. "When it's a bully like Donald Trump, you bully the s--t out of him," he added, underscoring his belief that a more forceful stance will put Republicans on the back foot.

Walz contends that Republicans are trying to avoid direct confrontation with Democrats who openly criticize Trump. "What they don't want to do is stand toe-to-toe and punch back with someone who's calling [Trump] out," he said.

During a separate address at a state party conference in Anaheim, California, Walz critiqued his own party's recent performance. Reflecting on his and former Vice President Kamala Harris' loss to Trump and Vice President JD Vance, Walz recalled a political researcher telling him the Democrats had behaved like "a deer in car headlights" post-election. He lamented that the party had not effectively countered Trump's tactics.

"You see the car coming at you, but you go ahead and stand there and you get hit by it anyway," Walz remarked. He pointed out that this passive approach had not earned them votes, emphasizing, "Nobody votes for roadkill."

Furthermore, Walz argued that the Democrats had lost sight of their core mission to advocate for the working class. "We lost to a grifter billionaire giving tax cuts to his grifter billionaire buddies," he stated.

In the wake of these events, Walz has taken an active role in keeping the Democratic agenda alive, headlining numerous town halls and speaking at events in districts where Democrats narrowly lost the vote. His call for a more robust and aggressive strategy aims to galvanize the party as they prepare for future electoral challenges.
