In a significant development, the NCAA has sent a draft of its notice of allegations (NOA) to the University of Michigan football program, shedding light on the sign-stealing scandal that plagued the team last year. According to the draft, head coach Sherrone Moore, who was the offensive coordinator at the time of the controversy, is alleged to have deleted 52 text messages from Conor Stalions on the same day media reports claimed Stalions attended future opponents' games and recorded their sideline signals. The draft categorizes Moore's actions as a Level 2 violation.

Furthermore, the NOA states that Moore is considered a "repeat offender" due to a previous incident in August 2023. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Moore allegedly violated recruiting regulations by contacting recruits during a designated "dead period."

However, Moore is not the only individual facing allegations. The NCAA has also pointed fingers at six other current and former Michigan staff members for committing violations. Former head coach Jim Harbaugh, former linebackers coach Chris Partridge, former assistant director of player personnel Denard Robinson, and Stalions himself are accused of Level 1 violations.
