In a shocking turn of events, a 39-year-old man has been indicted by a grand jury on murder charges for the deaths of three women in Oregon, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney. Jesse Lee Calhoun faces three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of second-degree abuse of a corpse in connection to the deaths of Charity Lynn Perry, Bridget Leanne Webster, and Joanna Speaks.

The three women were found dead under suspicious circumstances in April 2023. Two of the victims were discovered in Portland, while the third was found in neighboring Washington. The district attorney's office has not released any information regarding the cause of death or provided details on how Calhoun was linked to the crimes.

During a news conference, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and assured them of the community's support. The investigation is ongoing, and Calhoun, who was arrested on an unrelated charge, will soon be transferred to the custody of Multnomah County for arraignment.

Authorities previously announced a connection between the deaths of Perry and Webster and two other Oregon women, Kristin Smith and Ashley Real. Senior Deputy District Attorney Melissa Marrero stated that investigations into the deaths of Smith and Real are still underway, emphasizing the commitment to seeking justice for all the victims and their families.

The timeline of events reveals Perry's body was discovered near a highway northeast of Portland three days prior to an official announcement made by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office on April 27, 2023. Webster's body was found near Mill Creek, located around 50 miles southwest of Portland, on April 30, as reported by the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Meanwhile, Speaks was found earlier in Ridgefield, Washington, on April 8, following information suggesting that the homicide took place in Portland.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement agencies urge anyone with information about these tragic deaths to come forward. The families of the victims remain steadfast in their quest for justice, as they strive to support one another through this difficult time.
