**Liz Cheney Backs Kamala Harris and Criticizes Trump During Recent Interviews**

In a recent series of television appearances, Former Representative Liz Cheney voiced strong opinions against former President Donald Trump and extended her support for Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 election. Cheney, speaking on CNN's "State of the Union," described Trump as "unstable," "depraved," and "cruel."

Cheney emphasized that figures from Trump's administration, such as former White House chief of staff John Kelly, are aware of Trump’s lack of conscience and his erratic behavior. "They know that he is chaotic and cruel," Cheney remarked during the interview.

Addressing the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Cheney criticized the resulting state legislation that has made it challenging for women to access essential medical care. She argued that these laws have created situations where doctors are uncertain if the necessary care they provide could result in criminal charges. As a pro-life advocate, Cheney acknowledged the concerns shared by both pro-life and pro-choice women rallying behind Harris to prevent scenarios where women's health and future fertility are at risk.

Cheney also made an appearance on CBS News' "Face the Nation," reiterating her concerns about Trump’s influence on American politics. She asserted that Trump has introduced violence into political discourse in a way that is unprecedented. When questioned by CBS’s Margaret Brennan about reconciling her pro-life stance with her support for Harris, Cheney clarified that her decision was rooted in the tangible consequences observed since Roe's reversal.

A vocal critic of Trump, Cheney was one of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach him following the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. This decision led to her removal as House Republican Conference Chair later that year. Cheney also played a significant role in the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 incident.

Trump, known for his harsh criticism of Cheney, has labeled her with derogatory nicknames such as "Muslim-hating warmonger Liz Cheney," "Crazed Warhawk Liz Cheney," and "a low IQ War Hawk." Despite these attacks, Cheney continues to speak out against him while aligning herself with Harris in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
