Knicks superfans are embracing the warmth of Hoosier hospitality as they rally behind their team. Timothée Chalamet, 29, returned to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. The visit came mere days after the Knicks revived their season with a commanding 111-94 victory, witnessed at the Garden. This time, Chalamet brought along his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, 27. The couple, who celebrated the Knicks' crucial Game 5 win with a public kiss, are avid supporters of their team.

During Tuesday night’s game, Indiana had the backing of local celebrities, including former Colts punter and current ESPN personality Pat McAfee. McAfee took a moment to call out New York's celebrity fans, such as Ben Stiller, on the Jumbotron, quipping, "Indianapolis, Indiana, we've got some bigwigs from the big city in the building."

McAfee's antics didn't sit well with everyone. Ben Stiller found the situation rather baffling, labeling it "a little cartoonish." Legendary singer-songwriter and Indiana native John Mellencamp also expressed his displeasure. Apologizing on social media, Mellencamp condemned the behavior as poor sportsmanship, stating, "I was embarrassed when somebody, under whose direction I don't know, called out some of the people who had made the trip from New York to support their team - and in turn, support our team. The audience booed these people. I'd say that was not Hoosier Hospitality. One could only say it's poor, poor sportsmanship. I was not proud to be a Hoosier, and I've lived here my entire life."

Mellencamp's apology on behalf of fellow Hoosiers sparked a sharp response from McAfee, who on his self-titled ESPN show retorted with an indelicate "shut the f-k up."

As the series progresses, it remains to be seen if the Knicks' star-studded supporters will have the last laugh over McAfee and his Indiana faithful. The charged atmosphere and celebrity presence only add to the drama unfolding on the court, making this an Eastern Conference finals to remember.
