**Kamala Harris Criticizes Trump's Divisive Madison Square Garden Rally**

Vice President Kamala Harris expressed strong disapproval on Monday of the rhetoric at Donald Trump's recent rally in Madison Square Garden. According to Harris, the event did nothing to support the dreams and aspirations of the American people, and instead, it exacerbated divisions within the country.

During her speech, Harris highlighted that the Sunday gathering, marked by speakers who threw cruel and racist insults, underscored the central theme of her campaign. "He is focused and actually fixated on his grievances, on himself, and on dividing our country," said the Democratic presidential nominee, suggesting that this behavior is counterproductive for American families and workers.

With eight days left before the November 5 election, Harris was on her way to Michigan to continue her campaign efforts. She revealed her intention to emphasize the stark contrast between herself and Trump in a major speech scheduled for Tuesday night at the Ellipse near the White House.

Reflecting on the events of early 2021, Harris recalled Trump’s rally at the Ellipse and his subsequent call for supporters to march to the Capitol, a move that led to violent attempts to overturn his electoral defeat. Harris asserted that the sentiments expressed at Trump’s recent rally were not new but rather a more pronounced iteration of his divisive tactics.

Trump's campaign has since tried to distance itself from the inflammatory remarks made by some speakers, including one who derogatorily referred to Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage."
