### Joe Rogan's Trump Endorsement Draws Attention Amid Contradictory Past Statements

In an unexpected turn of events, Joe Rogan, the popular host of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, recently endorsed former President Donald Trump. Rogan announced his support for Trump on X, formerly known as Twitter, on a Monday night. He cited entrepreneur Elon Musk's arguments as pivotal in making "the most compelling case for Trump you'll hear," and linked to his latest podcast episode featuring Musk.

The endorsement quickly attracted scrutiny. Kyle Kulinski, a well-known podcaster and YouTuber, reposted a video on X that showcases a series of Rogan's past statements seemingly at odds with his support for Trump. In the video, originally posted in 2022, Rogan is heard lavishing praise on figures like Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama, and proclaiming Barack Obama as "the best president that we have had in our lifetime."

The video also highlights Rogan's past advocacy for policies generally associated with progressive views, including universal basic income, free college education, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, universal healthcare, and the need for higher taxes. Kulinski's video quickly went viral, garnering 1.3 million views and 18,000 likes.

Adding fuel to the fire, progressive commentator Mehdi Hasan shared Kulinski's video, resulting in an additional 500,000 views. Another critical video clip posted by the account @PatriotTakes showed a conversation between Rogan and comedian Tom Segura from July 2022, wherein Rogan referred to Trump as a "man baby." This pertained to reports that Trump’s former advisor Jared Kushner allegedly developed a system to deliver bad news to Trump. This clip also gained significant attention, racking up 323,000 views and over 6,000 likes.

Responding to Rogan's endorsement, Trump acknowledged the support during a campaign event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He described it as "big news" and noted the significance, stating, "that's so nice" especially considering Rogan’s typically more liberal views.

Rogan's recent podcast episodes included Trump on October 26 and JD Vance on October 31. Despite expressing willingness to host Vice President Kamala Harris, the interview did not materialize due to disagreements over the terms.

This juxtaposition of Rogan’s recent endorsement of Trump with his previously expressed liberal viewpoints has sparked widespread discussion and controversy on social media platforms.
