**Jay Leno Reflects on Political Comedy and Shares Views on Trump**

Jay Leno recently appeared on The Talk, where he expressed concern about the polarized nature of political discussions and reflected on his experience hosting The Tonight Show during past elections. Addressing the current election climate, Leno remarked that even a slim margin like 1,100 votes out of 300 million might be overshadowed by derogatory name-calling. He emphasized that the electoral process had been conducted professionally and honestly, describing it as a “great day for democracy.”

During his appearance, Leno was asked by co-host Natalie Morales about the differences in political humor now compared to when he hosted The Tonight Show. Leno admitted that times have changed. “In my day, you kind of made fun of both sides,” he said. He noted that while he used to receive angry letters from both sides of the political spectrum, today's environment often demands taking a definitive political stance.

Leno also addressed his views on former President Donald Trump. On Piers Morgan's Uncensored show earlier this year, Leno made it clear that he does not support Trump. “I’m not a fan,” he stated. He clarified his position, saying it was not political but rather moral, suggesting that “we could do a little bit better.”

The comedic veteran's comments highlight the evolving landscape of political discourse and comedy in today's highly charged atmosphere.
