In the latest developments surrounding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, two Lebanese shepherds lost their lives in an Israeli strike that targeted their house in the town of Houla near the Lebanon-Israel border on Sunday. State media reported the unfortunate incident, raising tensions amidst the already volatile situation.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) detected multiple aircraft crossing over from Lebanon into Israeli territory and responded by firing missiles towards them. This exchange further escalates the already heightened military activities in the region.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Sunday that efforts are underway to form an alternative ruling body to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. This statement comes as part of Israel's strategic plans to establish stability in the area and ensure the safety of its citizens.

In another development, fires have erupted in multiple locations in northern Israel, prompting the Israeli Fire and Rescue Authority to operate in these areas. The exact cause of these fires is still under investigation. Additionally, the town of Metula experienced a direct hit from an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon, damaging a residential house.

Over in Cairo, delegations from the United States and Israel wrapped up a meeting in which Egypt insisted on Israel's withdrawal from the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing for it to resume operations. This demand from Egypt has contributed to the ongoing negotiations in the region.

Amidst the conflict, the Government of Maldives has decided to ban Israelis from entering the Indian Ocean archipelago. This decision stems from public anger and increasing sentiments against the war in Gaza within the predominantly Muslim nation.

In response to the cease-fire proposal put forth by the United States, the White House expressed its expectation for Israel to adhere to the three-phased plan if Hamas agrees to the deal. However, far-right Israeli ministers are threatening to dissolve the government should Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commit to the proposed cease-fire.

To counter potential threats, the Israeli army conducted airstrikes on a Hezbollah military building in the village of Ayta ash Shab and targeted infrastructure in the village of Tair Harfa in southern Lebanon. These operations are part of Israel's efforts to neutralize any potential security risks in the region.

Amidst the escalating tensions, a rocket fell in an open area in the northern Israeli city of Nahariya, causing a fire. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

As the conflict continues to unfold, both regional and international stakeholders are closely monitoring the developments, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis.
