### Israeli Military Renews Evacuation Orders in Gaza Amid Intensified Offensive
The Israeli military has intensified its weeklong offensive against militants in the northern Gaza Strip, renewing orders for Palestinians to vacate their homes and shelters. Military spokesperson Avichay Adraee instructed residents to evacuate parts of Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and areas around Jabaliya, a dense urban refugee camp that has seen significant military operations. Adraee urged people to head south to Muwasi, designated as a humanitarian zone by the military.
The past week has witnessed severe fighting concentrated around Jabaliya, with Israeli war jets and artillery inflicting heavy bombardment. Residents have reported being trapped within their homes and shelters due to the continuous assaults. In addition to civilian evacuations, the military has also ordered the evacuation of patients and medical staff from the three main hospitals in northern Gaza.
Lebanon has not been spared from the escalating conflict. Authorities reported that 60 people were killed and 168 wounded within the past 24 hours, raising the casualty toll from a year of conflict between Israel and Hezbollah to 2,229 dead and 10,380 injured. Israel's escalating campaign against Hezbollah has involved numerous airstrikes and a ground invasion at the Lebanese border. Israel finds itself engaged in warfare on two fronts, battling Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Local health authorities in Gaza report that the offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 42,000 Palestinians, with women and children constituting more than half of the fatalities. The ongoing conflict has devastated extensive areas of Gaza and forced approximately 90% of its 2.3 million residents to relocate, many multiple times.
This surge in violence follows a full year since Hamas-led militants breached Israel’s security fence, attacking army bases and farming communities, killing about 1,200 people, primarily civilians, and kidnapping another 250. Of these captives, around 100 remain in Gaza, with one-third presumed dead.
