In a meeting attended by top military officials, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, dismissed any debate regarding the success of Tehran's recent drone-and-missile attack on Israel. This statement indirectly acknowledged that only a few projectiles managed to reach their intended targets.

The meeting, which included representatives from Iran's regular military, police, and paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, saw Khamenei address the issue without mentioning the Israeli retaliatory strike on the city of Isfahan. Despite the fact that air defenses were initiated and commercial flights were grounded across the country, Khamenei did not touch on these events.

Khamenei, 85, claimed that discussions surrounding the number of missiles fired, successful hits, and missed targets were of secondary importance. These comments were aired on state television and emphasized the supreme leader's disregard for the effectiveness of the attack on Israel.

The drone-and-missile assault, considered unprecedented, highlighted Iran's determination to confront its adversaries. However, the lack of significant impact raised questions about the country's military capabilities and strategic planning.

While Khamenei did not offer specific details regarding the attack, the international community remains concerned about the escalating tensions in the region. Each move made by Iran and Israel has the potential to further deepen the already complex and volatile situation.

As the situation continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how Iran will respond to the Israeli retaliatory strike on Isfahan. The global community will closely monitor developments in the Middle East as tensions between these two nations persist.
