### Biden Administration Investigates Possible Leak of U.S. Intelligence on Israel's Plans Against Iran

President Biden has expressed significant concern regarding the potential leak of U.S. intelligence documents that outline Israel's strategies for a prospective attack on Iran. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby addressed the issue on Monday, confirming that the Pentagon is actively investigating the situation.

During a briefing with reporters, Kirby stated that the Biden administration remains unclear whether the sensitive information, leaked over the weekend on Telegram, was due to an internal leak or a cyberattack. "I know the Department of Defense is investigating this, and I'm sure that as they work through that, they'll try to determine the manner in which they did become public," Kirby said. He emphasized the administration's concern about the public dissemination of classified information, labeling it as both unacceptable and potentially damaging.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre echoed these sentiments, mentioning that the matter is "being looked into" and asserting the president's "complete confidence" in the relevant federal agencies' ability to handle the situation.

The leaked materials reportedly consist of two top-secret intelligence documents detailing Israel's planned responses to a missile attack by Iran on October 1. The documents surfaced under a Telegram account known as the Middle East Spectator, which has a history of posting pro-Iran content despite claiming it is not a pro-Iran group. The documents detail the positioning and movement of Israeli weapons as part of the planned retaliation.

House Speaker Mike Johnson informed CNN on Sunday that an investigation was already underway, further affirming the administration's commitment to addressing the leak. The initial reports on the classified documents were made public by CNN and Axios on Saturday.

The incident has raised alarms within the U.S. government, highlighting the critical need to safeguard classified information and the potential consequences when such information falls into the wrong hands. President Biden is said to be "actively monitoring" the progress of the investigation as the Pentagon works to uncover the source and pathway of the leak.
