### Two Suspects Impersonating Utility Workers Accused of Killing Oakland County Man
Authorities in Oakland County have released security footage of two individuals suspected of posing as utility workers and committing a murder inside a Rochester Hills home. The victim, identified as 72-year-old Hussein Murray, was found dead in his basement on Friday, October 11.
The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Murray's death a homicide the following day. Sheriff's deputies discovered the body after receiving a distress call from Murray's wife. According to her statement, the perpetrators had posed as DTE employees the previous evening, citing concerns about a supposed gas leak. The suspects returned the next day around noon, at which point Murray escorted them to the basement.
A critical detail emerged when Murray's wife, also 72 years old, was found tied up. She initially feared her husband had been abducted until the police located his body downstairs. Detectives are currently investigating whether anything was stolen during the incident.
The suspects were last seen driving a white pickup truck equipped with orange cones in the back. Home security footage shows the men arriving at the residence with clipboards and wearing safety vests. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard issued a stern warning, urging the suspects to surrender and reassuring the community that authorities are committed to uncovering the truth.
Sheriff Bouchard also advised residents to verify the credentials of anyone claiming to be from utility companies or other businesses before allowing them inside their homes.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office has urged anyone with relevant information to contact Crime Stoppers. A reward of $2,000 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest in the case.
