**Holocaust Survivor Criticizes Kamala Harris for Trump's 'Fascist' Label**
A Holocaust survivor has publicly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris in a video produced by the Trump campaign, denouncing her for drawing parallels between former President Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler. Jerry Wartski, a 94-year-old who survived Auschwitz, strongly opposes Harris’ assertion, deriding it as profoundly offensive.
"Adolf Hitler invaded Poland when I was 9 years old. He murdered my parents and most of my family," Wartski states in the clip obtained by The Post. He further reveals his Auschwitz prisoner number, saying, "I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know in a thousand lifetimes."
Wartski harshly condemns Harris for likening Trump to Hitler, calling it "the worst thing I ever heard in my 75 years living in the United States." He demands an apology from Harris, asserting she owes one to "my parents and everybody else who was murdered by Hitler."
When asked why Jewish people should support Trump, Wartski replies, "Because he's a mensch." He lauds Trump’s unwavering support for Israel, citing his consistent, favorable actions and his dependability.
Wartski, who is also the honorary president of the Israel Heritage Foundation, recounts a personal encounter with Trump, where the former president marked the anniversary of Hamas' Oct. 7 terror attack by praying for hostages at the Ohel of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Wartski reinforces Trump’s solidarity with the Jewish people and Israel.
Senator JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, recently met with Wartski, praising the survivor for his courage and resilience. Vance expressed deep admiration for Wartski’s strength and his willingness to share his harrowing experiences.
Despite significant backing for the Democratic party among Jewish voters, support has wavered under the Biden-Harris administration due to tensions over weapons shipments to Israel and disagreements with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's strategies. A poll by the Manhattan Institute indicates that, while 67% of Jewish voters favor Harris, 31% support Trump in the upcoming 2024 election.
The issue gained further momentum after former White House chief of staff John Kelly accused Trump of praising Hitler during his tenure. Harris has utilized Kelly's allegations to criticize Trump, asserting that he expressed admiration for Hitler's leadership style and the economic rise of Germany under Nazi rule. She emphasized the gravity of such statements and the importance of responsible presidential conduct.
Trump is poised to hold a rally at Madison Square Garden, a move which has drawn criticism from Harris' supporters and historical comparisons to a notorious Nazi rally at the same venue 85 years ago. Among his critics, Hillary Clinton has spoken out against what she sees as an alarming reenactment of fascist support.
The continuing debate over Trump's leadership and alleged affinities for dictatorial regimes adds tension to the upcoming presidential election, with both sides vying for the support of Jewish voters and beyond.
