### Hezbollah Declares Victory in Recent Conflict, Citing Strong Resistance and Strategic Gains
Hezbollah's Deputy Leader Sheikh Naim Qassem proclaimed a significant victory for the militant group in a recent televised address. Speaking from an undisclosed location on November 29, 2024, Qassem asserted that the group's ability to prevent its destruction marked a decisive triumph.
In his speech, Qassem stated, "We are meeting today in an atmosphere of divine victory," emphasizing that the success achieved this time surpasses their 2006 confrontation. He attributed the victory to Hezbollah's resilience and ability to thwart the enemy's plans. "We won because we prevented the enemy from destroying Hezbollah, stopped them from ending the resistance, and defeated them because the enemy was forced to justify the agreement," he said.
Qassem highlighted what he considered a notable sign of Israel's defeat: the visible return of Lebanese civilians to their homes contrasted with the absence of Israeli settlers who have not come back. This, according to him, signifies a moral and strategic win for Hezbollah.
He discussed how Israel had anticipated a quick success following a September attack aimed at crippling Hezbollah's command system. However, Qassem boasted about Hezbollah's resilience, claiming the group maintained its ground on the frontlines and started targeting Israeli territory, thereby shifting Israel into a defensive stance.
Additionally, Qassem spoke about the cease-fire arrangements, mentioning that there will be "high-level coordination" between the Lebanese army and Hezbollah to ensure the agreement's execution. He specified that the main achievement of the deal was the withdrawal of the Israeli military from all territories south of the Litani River.
To those who doubted Hezbollah's strength, Qassem declared their predictions as failures. "For those that bet that Hezbollah would be weakened, their bet has failed," he asserted confidently.
