In an effort to address ongoing issues in Helldivers 2, developer Arrowhead has released a new hotfix update, numbered 01.000.404. The patch notes detail several crucial fixes aimed at improving gameplay stability and resolving various bugs.

Despite being in "semi-siesta" mode due to a summer break, Arrowhead assures fans that the game will not be abandoned entirely. While a major patch may not be expected this month, the developer promises to deliver hotfixes as necessary.

The Helldivers 2 update 01.000.404 patch notes include fixes for crashes and glitches that occurred when dropping into missions. One notable fix is related to the 'Superior Packing Methodology' ship module upgrade, which has been working since July 1st.

Additionally, the hotfix aims to reduce instances of players becoming stuck in the hellpod drop-in loading screen, a frustrating issue that has been addressed in this update. Another crash that occurred after changing settings has also been resolved.

However, there are still a few ongoing issues that Arrowhead is working to fix. Players may experience difficulties in sending friend requests via friend code in-game, as well as issues with joining or inviting other players to the game. Delays in Medals and Super Credits payouts, as well as inconsistent behavior of Arc weapons and some misfires, are also mentioned in the patch notes.

Other minor issues include weapons shooting below the crosshair when aiming down the sights, players getting stuck in the Loadout when joining a game in progress, and the Raise Flag of Super Earth objective not displaying a progress bar.

Furthermore, the Career tab's mission count is being reset to zero after every game restart, and some weapon descriptions are outdated and do not reflect their current design. However, Arrowhead has assured players that they are actively working on addressing these issues.

Lastly, the hotfix also brings the activation of new ship modules, encouraging players to upgrade their super destroyers.

With the release of this hotfix, Helldivers 2 players can expect a more stable and improved gameplay experience. While Arrowhead's development team is currently enjoying their summer break, they remain committed to addressing issues and ensuring that the game continues to evolve.

As players eagerly await the arrival of the Illuminate, it is expected that the player base will see a resurgence, potentially reversing the recent decline in active players.

During this summer break, players can also explore cheats, stratagems, and weapon guides for even more immersion in the Helldivers 2 universe.
