Helldivers 2 developer, Arrowhead, is taking swift action to address a bug reported by players in the current Major Order. The bug, which has been deemed a "broken mess" by some players, involves Bile Titans and breach holes spawning directly on the objective, making it nearly impossible to complete the Major Order on higher difficulties.

In response to player feedback, community manager Baskinator confirmed on the Helldivers Discord that a hotfix is in the works to tackle the spawning issue. The team at Arrowhead is working diligently on the hotfix and aims to deploy it as soon as possible. Players will be notified once the hotfix is available.

Given that the Major Order has an expiry date early next week, players are hopeful that the hotfix will be implemented promptly. Some have even suggested that Arrowhead extend the Major Order to encourage more players to partake once the bug has been resolved.

The success of Helldivers 2 cannot be denied, as it has become the fastest-selling PlayStation game of all time, with an impressive 12 million copies sold in just 12 weeks since its release earlier this year. This achievement has brought both immense revenue and the need for Arrowhead to adapt to the game's popularity and the increased visibility it has provided.

Arrowhead has had its share of challenges along the way, including launch server problems and a recent dispute with Sony over linking Steam players to the PlayStation Network. However, the studio remains committed to the ongoing development of Helldivers 2 as a live service. CEO Shams Jorjani, who took over from previous CEO Johan Pilestedt, expressed the studio's intention to continually enhance the game and provide meaningful updates to keep players engaged.

In the meantime, Arrowhead is also in the process of setting up its studio to further improve and expand its capabilities. The studio aims to "make more and better stuff" in the long-term, building on the success Helldivers 2 has brought to the company.

As Helldivers 2 players eagerly anticipate the upcoming hotfix, they can look forward to a more enjoyable and bug-free experience in completing the Major Order. Arrowhead's commitment to addressing player concerns and continuing to improve the game will undoubtedly keep players engaged in the action-packed co-op shooter.
