**Harris and Trump in Tight Race in Pennsylvania as Election Nears**

As the presidential election approaches, Pennsylvania remains one of the most closely contested states in the nation. According to newly released AARP data, Vice President Kamala Harris holds a narrow lead over former President Donald Trump. The survey indicates that 49% of likely voters favor Harris, while Trump garners support from approximately 47%. Three percent of respondents remain undecided.

The AARP poll, conducted between September 17 and September 24, utilized a combination of landline, cell phone, and text-to-web methods and was carried out by a bipartisan team. The survey reveals that Harris faces significant challenges among senior citizens. Specifically, voters aged 65 and older favor Trump by a margin of seven points. This represents a notable shift from the previous election season when Trump was trailing then-candidate President Biden by one point before Biden stepped down and Harris was named the Democratic nominee.

The survey also sheds light on public opinion regarding the candidates' past performances. Half of the likely voters approve of Trump's presidency from 2016 to 2020, while 49% disapprove. In contrast, 45% of respondents approve of Harris's tenure as vice president, with 52% expressing disapproval.

A total of 1,398 likely voters in Pennsylvania were surveyed, with the findings carrying an overall margin of error of four percentage points. The study also included an over-sample of 470 likely voters aged 50 and older, with a margin of error of three and a half percentage points.

As the final stretch of the campaign begins, Pennsylvania's voters remain sharply divided, ensuring that both campaigns will focus significant resources and attention on winning this crucial battleground state.
