In a recent escalation of violence, the military wing of Hamas, known as Al Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for a complex ambush on Israeli military vehicles in the town of Tal al-Sultan, located to the west of the southern city of Rafah. The attack came as Israel continued its offensive in Rafah, resulting in fierce fighting in the region.

According to the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces), the incident is currently under review, with various possible causes being investigated. Hamas, however, stated that their fighters carried out the ambush, targeting enemy vehicles operating in Tal al-Sultan.

Both sides have been engaged in intense clashes over the past few days, and Tal al-Sultan has become a hotspot for these confrontations. Israeli tanks were reportedly targeted by Hamas fighters using Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs) and mortars in the neighborhood. The IDF, on the other hand, revealed the discovery of tunnels between neighboring houses, which were allegedly used by Hamas militants as covert passageways.

The situation in Rafah remains highly volatile, with multiple incidents of violence unfolding on a daily basis. This news story will be continuously updated as more details emerge.
