In a shocking incident, a former classmate reveals that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump during a Pennsylvania rally, was a bullied loner. Authorities have also discovered explosive devices inside his car following the shooting.

The 20-year-old Crooks took aim at the former president from the roof of a manufacturing plant over 130 yards away from the rally at Butler Farm Show grounds on Saturday. His shot grazed Trump's ear, tragically killing a hero volunteer firefighter and leaving two others injured. Secret Service snipers swiftly responded, returning fire and ultimately neutralizing Crooks. However, he managed to fire off approximately eight rounds before being taken down.

Crooks was found with an AR-style semi-automatic assault rifle, purchased by his father, and was even seen wearing a shirt for a popular gun YouTube channel, Demolition Ranch. Former classmates from Bethel Park High School, located about 40 miles south of the rally, described Crooks as a loner who endured relentless bullying. They recall him frequently wearing hunting attire and playing video games in class.

Interestingly, it was revealed that when Crooks was 17, he made a $15 donation to the liberal ActBlue political action committee on President Joe Biden's Inauguration Day in 2021. However, records show that when he turned 18 the following September, Crooks registered with the Republican Party. The motive behind his targeting of the former president remains unclear, as no manifesto or clear motive has been found online by law enforcement sources.

The search of Crooks' devices was impeded when authorities discovered potential explosive devices in his car and at his home. His father, shocked by the developments, mentioned that he was waiting to speak with law enforcement before commenting further. Horrifying images shared online capture the aftermath of the shooting, with Crooks' limp body lying on the ground in an all-gray outfit, blood streaking across his face and hair.

The streets around Crooks' house have been cordoned off by the police, and a neighbor reported seeing an Allegheny County bomb squad car preparing to enter the premises. Meanwhile, the attack itself was captured in a horrifying video, showing the former president being tackled to the ground by Secret Service agents. Trump, however, quickly rose to his feet, telling his security detail to wait before rallying the shaken crowd with a fist pump and a call to "fight."

After receiving treatment for his ear wounds at a Pennsylvania hospital, Trump was filmed departing in his private plane, Trump Force One, from Newark Liberty International Airport. He appeared to still be wearing the same navy suit he had on when he was shot. Tragically, one rally-goer died, and two spectators were critically wounded in the attack.

This attempted assassination marks the first serious attack on a president or presidential candidate since the shooting of Ronald Reagan in 1981. The incident unfolded just days before Trump was to be officially named the Republican nominee at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
