The other individual involved is Jacqueline Marsaw, who was hired as a field representative by Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson in 2023. Marsaw shared her disappointment on Facebook that Trump was not killed in the assassination attempt, stating, "I don't condone violence but please get you some shooting lessons so you don't miss next time." Marsaw faced criticism from Trump supporters who condemned her post and accused her of endorsing violence.

Both Howell and Marsaw faced significant backlash for their controversial remarks. Howell, who is reported to have previously worked in the NICS Firearms Background Check Unit, had her posts removed from Facebook. Marsaw, identified as a civil rights activist, listed Thompson's office as her place of employment. However, she was subsequently terminated from her position by Rep. Thompson, who expressed disapproval of her actions.
