Gold Star mother Paula Knauss Selph strongly criticized the Biden administration for their lack of accountability while commemorating the third anniversary of the terrorist attack at Afghanistan's Kabul airport. The attack claimed the lives of 13 brave US service members. Speaking on Fox News' "America Reports," Selph, whose son Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss was among the fallen, expressed her grief and frustration over the avoidant stance of the administration.

Selph highlighted the pressing issue of accountability, noting the nation's outrage at the lack of empathy and sympathy shown by the Biden administration. She urged them to take responsibility for the botched withdrawal and at least apologize for their inadequate leadership. According to Selph, the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal has cost the United States its credibility on the world stage, a sentiment echoed by former President Donald Trump in his recent remarks.

Emphasizing the loss of credibility, Selph argued that regaining it is crucial for the nation. She stated that the only way to restore America's standing as a world power is to have strong leadership that stands up for the nation's principles. Moments earlier, Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery, placing wreaths at the graves of the fallen soldiers, including Selph's son. Selph revealed that Trump had personally called her to express his condolences and assured her that there are leaders who will step up when needed.

In a significant development, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced his intention to present the Congressional Gold Medal to the families who lost their loved ones in the Kabul airport attack. Selph praised this decision, stating that it brings honor not only to the grieving families but to the entire nation.

Vice President Kamala Harris issued a statement on the anniversary of the attack, where she listed the names of those lost and pledged to fulfill the nation's sacred obligation to care for troops and their families. While recognizing their pain and loss, Harris stood by President Biden's decision to end America's longest war, emphasizing that it was a courageous and right decision.

Another Gold Star mother, Shana Chappell, also spoke out on Fox News, expressing her disappointment with the current state of the country her son died protecting. Chappell squarely placed the blame on the Biden administration for her son's death and expressed concern over the direction the nation is heading in.

As the Gold Star families demand accountability and honor the memory of their fallen loved ones, the nation reflects on the devastating consequences of the Kabul airport attack. The call for stronger leadership and the restoration of America's credibility on the world stage remains a pressing issue that cannot be undervalued.
