Title: Giuliani Ceases Accusations of Election Fraud After $148 Million Defamation Judgment

In a major development, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has agreed to stop leveling accusations of election fraud against Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, two former Georgia election workers. This decision comes after the two women won a staggering $148 million judgment in a defamation case against Giuliani.

According to the attorneys representing Freeman and Moss, Giuliani has agreed to never again accuse either of the women of any wrongdoing in connection with the 2020 election. This agreement effectively puts an end to Giuliani's efforts to profit from spreading false information about these "heroes of American democracy," as described by Michael Gottlieb, an attorney for Freeman and Moss.

In a statement released to ABC News, Ted Goodman, a spokesperson for Giuliani, mentioned that based on advice from his lawyers, the former mayor has agreed not to comment on the specific individuals mentioned in the case until it is resolved. However, he will continue to comment on other aspects surrounding the 2020 election, particularly developments in Fulton County.

The jury's verdict in December concluded with Freeman being awarded $16,171,000 and Moss receiving $16,998,000. They were also granted an additional $20 million each for emotional distress. Furthermore, the jury awarded both women a total of $75 million in punitive damages.

Following the massive judgment against Giuliani, Freeman and Moss filed another lawsuit seeking to permanently prohibit him from making any further defamatory statements about them. Giuliani has faced a string of setbacks since then, including filing for bankruptcy and losing his radio show position.

In a separate legal battle, Giuliani pleaded not guilty earlier on Tuesday to election-related charges brought against him by the Arizona Attorney General.

The agreement reached between Giuliani and Freeman and Moss signifies a significant turning point in the defamation case, bringing relief to the two election workers who have been subjected to false accusations. As this high-profile legal battle continues to unfold, it showcases the repercussions faced by those who spread misinformation and the enduring fight for truth in the aftermath of the 2020 election.
