Georgia Woman Identified as Person Killed in Fall at Ohio State Graduation Ceremony

In a tragic incident, a woman who fell to her death during a graduation ceremony at Ohio State University has been identified as Larissa Brady, a Georgia resident. The Franklin County Coroner's Office confirmed on Tuesday that Brady, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene, just outside Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

The circumstances surrounding Brady's fall are currently under investigation. The stadium, standing at a towering 136 feet (41 meters), is where the incident occurred. However, authorities have stated that foul play is not suspected, and the fall is believed to be non-accidental, according to university spokesperson Ben Johnson.

The tragic incident took place midday near the stadium's Bell Tower, as the last group of graduates were entering the venue. Brady's daughter was among those who were scheduled to graduate that day, as per the commencement program.

Despite the unfortunate event, the graduation ceremony continued without any immediate mention of the incident. However, witnesses reported visible distress among some students and attendees following the fall. In response, the university has reached out to all graduates and staff who were present at the ceremony, offering counseling services to those affected.

As the investigation into the incident continues, Ohio State University stands in mourning for the loss of Larissa Brady and offers its condolences to her family and loved ones.
