### Coach Kirby Smart Criticizes Fan Enthusiasm in Georgia’s Triumph Over Auburn

The Georgia Bulldogs secured a solid 31-13 win against Auburn on Saturday in the latest iteration of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. Despite the victory at Sanford Stadium, head coach Kirby Smart expressed dissatisfaction with the fan engagement during the game, highlighting a lack of energy from the stands as Georgia bolstered their record to 4-1.

In a conversation with Fox 5's DJ Shockley, Smart did not hide his disappointment. "It was hot out there today, Shock, and if anything to be honest I'm a little disappointed. I'm probably disappointed in our fans for the first time," Smart remarked. "Our players have full pads on, helmets, and they're pushing for a home-field advantage. It's frustrating when we can't get crowd noise."

Smart emphasized the importance of crowd support, urging fans to be more vigorous in their backing of the team. "I'll be honest about it that I think we need to do a better job as fans, and I know I've got to do a better job as a coach, but we need these fans to support us and these players need them behind them," he stated.

In his postgame press conference, Smart continued to discuss the impact of fan support. "We're not going to win all of our games all the time. That's not going to happen," Smart said. "I want our fan base to appreciate what we have and give their all and be unbelievable with crowd noise and make energy at home games. We need it to be tough on other teams to play here."

Georgia’s impressive home record boasts a 27-game winning streak, the longest in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), a testament to the Bulldogs maximizing their home-field advantage. Notable home victories include a thrilling 23-17 win over Notre Dame in 2019 and a 27-13 victory against Tennessee in 2022.

As the season progresses, the Bulldogs still have four upcoming games at Sanford Stadium, offering fans further opportunities to rally behind their team. Next week's game sees Georgia facing off against Mississippi State, and both the team and Smart hope for a more energized atmosphere.
