In the wake of the sudden and heartbreaking death of Johnny Wactor, a former cast member of General Hospital, there has been an outpouring of condolences from his daytime peers, fans, and the woman he bravely protected on the fateful night. Now, his last employer, Level 8, has taken to social media to express their condolences and address the tragic incident.

Johnny Wactor was last seen at Level 8, a bar/restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, before he was shot and killed as he left the establishment after his early morning shift. Walking with his coworker, Anita Joy, they encountered three men near Wactor's car. What initially seemed like an attempt to tow the vehicle turned into a shocking theft in progress. Without any provocation, one of the men shot Wactor, who tragically succumbed to his injuries in Joy's arms.

Following the incident, Anita Joy took to Instagram recounting the night and stressed the need for Level 8 to fulfill their promise of providing parking for their late-hour staff. She emphasized the urgency to address the issue and prevent such incidents from happening again. Joy also called for Level 8 to contribute to Wactor's family, honoring his hard work and dedication.

In response, Level 8 posted on their Instagram page expressing grief over the loss of their valued team member, Johnny Wactor. They highlighted his talent and generous spirit, acknowledging how deeply he was loved by his peers and coworkers. The establishment also shared their commitment to taking safety seriously, mentioning the security escorts they have provided to their staff after hours. They vowed to actively research additional safety measures for the staff and create a safe and supportive environment for everyone at Level 8.

Meanwhile, Johnny Wactor's godmother, Michaelle Kinard, has launched a GoFundMe campaign titled "Justice for Johnny" to help raise funds for his family to travel and cope with their heartache. Additionally, there are calls for Los Angeles City councilmember Kevin de León to expedite the investigation into Wactor's tragic death, seeking justice for the beloved actor.

As this senseless loss continues to reverberate throughout the industry, let us remember Johnny Wactor and honor his memory as efforts are made to ensure the safety and well-being of those working late hours in the city.
