Former Trump Organization executive vice president of construction and development, Barbara Res, has contradicted former President Donald Trump's account of a helicopter ride that supposedly made an emergency landing in the 1990s. Res revealed that the helicopter incident did occur but was not with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown as Trump claimed.

Res shared details of the situation during an interview with NBC News' Ali Vitali on MSNBC. She explained that the helicopter journey took place while they were working on a major project in California, collaborating with local and state politicians. Res specifically mentioned former California state Senator Nate Holden as one of the key figures involved.

During a recent press conference, Trump recounted the helicopter flight, stating that he and Brown were on their way to a specific location when the emergency landing occurred. Trump also mentioned Willie Brown's concerns during the incident and made references to his knowledge of Brown's relationship with Vice President Kamala Harris.

When asked if Trump often confused the identities of Brown and Holden, Res admitted that she didn't recall the specifics of Trump's memory lapse since it had been three decades ago. However, she expressed that it would not be surprising if Trump mixed them up in his head.

Res also speculated that Trump wanted to associate himself with Brown due to his significant status and influence. "He wanted to be in with Willie, because Willie was an important guy," Res stated.

The Trump campaign has yet to respond to requests for comments on the matter. However, Trump defended himself on Friday in response to a New York Times article, mentioning the existence of maintenance records, witnesses, and a story titled "Willie and Me."

Brown, who Trump claimed to have flown with in the helicopter, swiftly refuted the former president's story after the press conference. Brown confirmed that he had never been on a helicopter with Trump and had never discussed Harris with him. He jokingly speculated that Trump may have mistaken someone else, perhaps a Black person, for him.

On the other hand, Nate Holden came forward and confirmed that he was the individual who joined Trump on the helicopter ride. Holden disclosed that they were en route to Atlantic City to visit Trump's recently opened Taj Mahal casino. Res backed up Holden's account, highlighting that the emergency landing was not a life-threatening situation and emphasizing that everyone onboard was unharmed.

Res also revealed Trump's reaction during and after the incident. She stated that Trump was terrified during the ordeal and joked with Holden afterward, remarking, "Nate, you turned white."

The conflicting narratives surrounding this helicopter incident are becoming a subject of debate, with Res offering a different perspective on Trump's recollection. As the story continues to unfold, it sheds further light on the complexities and controversies surrounding former President Donald Trump's past experiences.
