In a recent exclusive interview, Emmy-winning actress Drea De Matteo, known for her roles in "The Sopranos" and "Sons of Anarchy," voiced her disappointment over certain celebrities' insensitivity towards the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Matteo spoke out against Hollywood's hatred for Trump and criticized those who jokingly embraced the violence.

The controversy stemmed from comedian Jack Black's bandmate, Kyle Gass, who crackled with laughter during a concert in Australia, expressing his birthday "wish" for the shooter not to miss Trump next time. Black, apparently taken aback by the comments, cancelled the Tenacious D tour, and Gass later issued an apology on Instagram and subsequently deleted the post.

Matteo, a self-proclaimed liberal, expressed her admiration for these actors and celebrities but conveyed her disappointment in their recent statements. She expressed her confusion about the current rebellious tone of the left, which she believes lacks the undertones of peace, love, harmony, and compassion that it claims to represent. She argued that inclusivity, love, and peace should be the foundation of the liberal ideology, but recently, she has witnessed a more mean-spirited and riotous behavior from some.

Addressing Gass's comments specifically, Matteo explained that her concern lied not in his remarks, but in the audience's laughter and the amusement displayed by some in the United States. She found it disturbing that a segment of America seemed to support the idea of someone's death. Matteo further labeled such rhetoric as hateful and believed it had deeper implications.

Matteo acknowledged her own transformation from being affected by "Trump Derangement Syndrome" to reevaluating her perspective through personal research. She stated that her awakening occurred during the COVID-19 shutdowns and associated mandates. Through her journey, Matteo discovered what she considers to be more truth on the conservative side, as they strive to conserve the country.

The actress, who supports both Trump and independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., previously spoke out about the Hollywood treatment she received for not endorsing Biden. Matteo expressed her belief that the constant rage directed at Trump is unwarranted and calls for introspection from those celebrities who engage in character destruction.

When asked about the presence of "quiet" Trump voters in Hollywood, Matteo admitted that she believed there are many, but they remain silent due to lingering fears. She noted that the upcoming months will bring significant changes for both sides and emphasized the importance of humanity's unity and the country's karma in shaping the nation's future.

Matteo, who now focuses on her clothing brand, Ultrafree, no longer considers herself an actor and has redirected her efforts towards raising awareness about the broader implications of voting solely based on social issues like abortion. She urged people to think beyond single issues and embrace a more holistic approach to decision-making.

While Matteo's criticism of certain celebrities creates ripples in the entertainment industry, her desire to promote a broader understanding and unity within the country may resonate with many, regardless of their political affiliations.
