Former President Donald Trump is set to make another campaign stop in Michigan, marking his third visit to the battleground state in just nine days. The Republican nominee for president will be delivering remarks on crucial economic issues such as inflation and manufacturing during an event at Alro Steel in Potterville on Thursday, August 29. This follows his upcoming visit to Detroit on Monday, August 26, where he will be attending the National Guard Association of the United States' 146th General Conference.

Trump's visit to Livingston County Sheriff's Office facility in Howell on August 20, where he discussed crime, immigration, and law enforcement, has recently sparked controversy. Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy, who hosted the event, is currently under investigation by the state Bureau of Elections. Despite this, Trump's campaign remains committed to rallying support in Michigan, a swing state crucial for winning the presidency.

Touching on economic issues aligns with Trump's focus on bolstering the economy during his presidency. The Republican vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, has also been actively campaigning in Michigan, making three appearances since joining the ticket. Vance is scheduled to make another speech about the economy on Tuesday, August 27.

Not to be outdone, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president, has also made her presence felt in Michigan. In early August, she held a rally at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport hangar and engaged with union members on August 8.

Michigan continues to be a major battleground state, attracting key political figures from both parties. As the election draws near, the candidates are intensifying their efforts to win the support and swing the crucial voters of Michigan in their favor.
