In a surprising turn of events, former Los Angeles city councilman and California state Sen. Nate Holden confirms that he was indeed present during a helicopter ride that made an emergency landing, contradicting former President Donald Trump's claim that it involved former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. The revelation came after Trump's remarks at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida were challenged by Brown himself, who vehemently denied ever being in a helicopter with the former president.

The incident in question had been previously referenced by Trump in his book, "Letters to Trump," where he described it as a "little scary for both of us." Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung also highlighted this mention in a recent post on X. However, according to Holden, it was him who accompanied Trump on the ill-fated flight, not Brown.

Holden revealed that he had been in contact with Trump's team in the 1990s when the businessman was pursuing a project on the site of the Ambassador Hotel, located in Holden's district at the time. The former councilman recalled a meeting with Trump at Trump Tower, followed by a trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey, where they planned to tour Trump's now-closed Taj Mahal casino. Joining them on the helicopter was Barbara Res, Trump's former executive vice president of construction, who confirmed that it was indeed Holden on board.

Res recounted the incident in her book, "All Alone on the 68th Floor," detailing how the helicopter made a safe landing in New Jersey following the pilot's announcement of the need for an emergency landing. She noted that during the flight, Trump jokingly referred to Holden being scared, while Holden himself clarified that it was Trump who was "scared sh*tless."

The conflicting accounts of this helicopter incident have taken center stage, casting doubt on Trump's recollection of key events during his time in office. As more people come forward with their versions of the story, the true details are slowly starting to emerge, leading to further debate and questioning surrounding the former president's claims.

It remains to be seen how Trump will respond to Holden's confirmation of his presence in the helicopter incident, and whether other individuals involved in Trump's past experiences will come forward with additional insights or contradictions.
