The online feud between UFC commentator Daniel Cormier and welterweight contender Joaquin Buckley continues to intensify, as Cormier strongly criticizes Buckley's recent callout of Conor McGregor. After Buckley's impressive win against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC St. Louis, he used his mic time to call for a fight against McGregor. However, Cormier wasted no time branding it as "the worst callout in history."

During an episode of Good Guy/Bad Guy, Cormier, along with Chael Sonnen, expressed their disdain for Buckley's callout. They pointed out that McGregor is already booked to fight Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303, making Buckley's callout redundant. Furthermore, the likelihood of the matchup happening is very low.

Buckley fired back at Cormier, Sonnen, and Michael Bisping, accusing them of twisting his words. In a statement on X, he addressed them by saying, "Let this be known, ya mommas raised some h***. Y'all really trying to twist up my words knowing damn well what I said in that cage, but it's okay we can all have some fun."

While defending himself, Buckley also acknowledged that his callout of McGregor was unrealistic. He expressed interest in a matchup with former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns instead. "I'm definitely not going to get that Conor McGregor fight, but why not take chances, right? Gilbert Burns, I think it's a beautiful fight, a beautiful matchup," Buckley admitted during the post-fight press conference.

However, Cormier remained unimpressed and took another opportunity to slam Buckley. Urging him to listen and not let a few wins get him "too excited," Cormier responded to Buckley's comments with, "Shut up p****! Maybe listen. You had a dumb ass callout. You're getting talked about by 3 of the biggest voices in the game... Don't let winning a few fights at 170lbs get you too excited bruh. Don't mention Audrey!"

Cormier's criticism of Buckley's callout has resonated with the majority of the UFC fanbase, who view it as the "worst callout ever." One fan on X even admitted, "To be fair, it is indeed arguably the worst callout ever."

Despite some criticism of Cormier's approach to the feud, when asked how he would handle interviewing Buckley again, the former two-weight champion simply responded with, "Be a professional!"

As the tension between Cormier and Buckley continues to rise, fans eagerly await their next encounters, both inside and outside the Octagon.
