In a recent hearing before the House judiciary committee, FBI Director Christopher Wray raised doubts about whether former President Donald Trump was shot by a bullet or struck by shrapnel during the recent assassination attempt against him. The incident took place at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month.

During the hearing, Wray informed lawmakers that the exact cause of the injury to Trump's ear was unclear. He stated, "There's some question about whether or not it's a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear. As I sit here right now, I don't know whether that bullet, in addition to causing the grazing, could have also landed somewhere else."

Shortly after the shooting, Trump released a statement on his new social media platform, Truth Social, stating that he had been shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of his right ear. He described hearing a whizzing sound and feeling the bullet rip through his skin, causing significant bleeding.

In response to Wray's comments, Trump's former White House doctor and current Republican representative, Ronny Jackson, criticized the FBI director, calling his remarks "absolutely irresponsible" and "politically motivated" against Trump. Jackson vehemently affirmed the bullet theory, stating, "It was a bullet. I've seen the wound!"

Wray further testified that the shooter, who was subsequently killed by government snipers, had searched online for information related to the 1963 assassination of former President John F. Kennedy.

It is worth noting that Trump has not allowed medical professionals who treated him to speak publicly about his condition. He did, however, release a memo about his recovery from Jackson.

The investigation into the assassination attempt continues, and authorities are working to determine the precise nature of the projectile that caused Trump's injury. The controversy surrounding the incident underscores the importance of uncovering the truth to provide closure for the public and ensure the safety of public figures.

As more information becomes available, the FBI and relevant authorities will continue their efforts to shed light on the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
