**Family Expands Search for Missing Broadway Dancer Beyond South Carolina Trailhead**
The search for missing Broadway dancer Zelig Williams has widened beyond the South Carolina hiking trailhead where his car was discovered earlier this month. The 28-year-old, known for his roles in "Hamilton" and "MJ The Musical," was last seen at his home in Columbia on October 3, as stated by the Richland County Sheriff's Department. After failing to hear from him, his family reported Williams missing the next day.
Zelig Williams' mother, Kathy Williams, and cousin Mieoki Corbett-Jacobs have announced that efforts will now extend past the parking lot where the vehicle was located, more than 20 miles from Williams' residence. "As a family, we've been searching. We've searched that area ourselves on foot more than once, and now we're looking to expand our search," Corbett-Jacobs told CNN.
The search will include both sides of the cross-state Palmetto Trail leading to major roads. Corbett-Jacobs mentioned that Williams might have sought out a walking trail, a family favorite activity. Kathy Williams expressed her deep concern for her son's safety, stating she believes he is in danger.
The family has appealed to the public for any information or sightings of Williams, urging people to contact authorities. Private investigators hired by the family continue to receive and investigate leads, though recent photos sent to them turned out to be of someone else.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott confirmed that deputies have utilized all available resources and technology in the search for Williams and are seeking public assistance. Corbett-Jacobs emphasized her belief that Williams' disappearance involves foul play, not voluntary wandering off.
During a news conference, Corbett-Jacobs revealed that Williams may have stopped taking his mental health medication around the time he vanished. Kathy Williams shared the emotional weight of the situation, noting that Zelig is her last surviving child after losing her daughters in a car accident in 2004. "He told me when he danced, he feels his sisters with him," she said.
In a heartfelt message, Corbett-Jacobs urged Williams to hold on to his faith and promised that the family would not cease their search until he is found. "We will not stop looking for you until we bring you home," she affirmed.
