**Blast at Santa Maria Courthouse Injures Six; Suspect in Custody**
Six individuals sustained injuries following an explosion at the Santa Maria courthouse. According to a spokesperson for Marian Regional Medical Center, three victims are in fair condition, two are in good condition, and the condition of the sixth individual remains unknown.
The explosion, which occurred around 8:45 a.m., took place in Santa Maria, roughly 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Raquel Zick, spokesperson for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office, confirmed that the blast was the result of a deliberately set improvised explosive device.
Authorities swiftly apprehended a suspect shortly after deputies arrived on the scene. The courthouse vicinity has been cordoned off, and officials have concentrated their attention on a parked car associated with the detained suspect.
Zick mentioned that the ongoing investigation is progressing slowly. Detectives currently do not believe there are any other suspects involved. The bomb squad is actively processing the site, and the suspect is still under interrogation.
