### Trump Repeats False Claims About 2020 Election on Joe Rogan's Podcast

In a marathon three-hour discussion with podcaster Joe Rogan, former President Donald Trump echoed several disproven statements regarding the 2020 election. The conversation, covering a variety of topics from extraterrestrial life to immigration policies, occurred just days before the upcoming Election Day.

When Trump asserted, "I won that second election in 2020," the facts tell a different story. Joe Biden secured a decisive win, gathering 306 electoral votes against Trump’s 232. Biden’s road to victory included key battleground states such as Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Despite Trump’s claims, Biden also garnered approximately 7 million more popular votes nationwide.

The integrity of the election results has been corroborated through several means. Each state authenticated the election outcomes, and more than 60 lawsuits filed by Trump and his allies were unsuccessful. Congress ratified the results even after a violent riot by Trump supporters at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. A detailed review conducted by conservative experts, including former federal judges, found no evidence of significant fraud or inaccuracies that could alter the result. Notably, even high-ranking Republicans, including Trump’s own Attorney General Bill Barr and state election officials from Georgia, confirmed that Biden won fairly and securely.

On the podcast, Trump also alleged that states exploited COVID-19 to "cheat" during the 2020 elections. However, measures to facilitate voting during the pandemic—such as mailing ballots or providing applications for absentee voting—were introduced openly and legally through executive orders or administrative actions. These provisions, designed to ensure voter safety amid the pandemic, applied to voters from all political affiliations, including Republicans.

Trump’s assertion that all changes in voting procedures required legislative approval also misrepresents legal interpretations. Various courts upheld that state officials could adjust election procedures without needing legislative approval, especially under extraordinary circumstances. For instance, during the pandemic, Republican officials in states like North Dakota, Arkansas, and Texas implemented measures to facilitate voting, reflecting a bipartisan approach to dealing with unprecedented challenges.

Finally, Trump’s claims about Wisconsin being “rigged, robbed and stolen” were also debunked. Despite recounts requested by Trump that upheld Biden’s win, and investigations that turned up no evidence of significant fraud, these assertions persist. Various legal and independent investigations, including efforts by conservative organizations and state auditors, confirmed the accuracy and fairness of the election in Wisconsin.

Trump’s reiteration of these debunked claims, just days ahead of another crucial election, underscores the importance of verifying facts amidst prevalent misinformation.
