### Iran Set for Nuclear Discussions with European Countries

In a significant diplomatic move, Iran has scheduled talks with three European countries that recently backed a resolution against it at the United Nations' International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The resolution, put forth by France, Germany, the UK, and the US, was adopted, leading to heightened tensions regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions.

An Iranian foreign ministry spokesman announced that deputy foreign ministers from Iran, France, Germany, and the UK are slated to meet this Friday. Although the meeting's location remains undisclosed, the officials are expected to address a broad array of subjects, including the longstanding issues in Palestine and Lebanon, alongside the contentious nuclear matter.

The revival of the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program follows Tehran's commitment to activate new centrifuges for uranium enrichment as a direct response to the IAEA censure. Experts reveal that uranium enrichment to more than 90% purity is essential for constructing nuclear weapons. Nevertheless, Iran continues to assert that its nuclear program serves solely peaceful purposes.

The context of these discussions is framed by the 2018 withdrawal of the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a key agreement designed to curb Iran's nuclear activities in return for sanctions relief. Efforts to renegotiate and revive the deal have reached a standstill since the US exit under former President Donald Trump.

These upcoming talks underline the ongoing international attempts to address and potentially resolve the complexities surrounding Iran's nuclear program and broader geopolitical issues in the region.
