Northern Israel has seen significant casualties with 70 soldiers fallen, while Judea and Samaria have lost 14 soldiers and police personnel. The conflict has led to an estimated 29,900 projectiles being fired at Israel, displacing approximately 88,000 Israelis from their homes. Concurrently, Qatar’s role has come under scrutiny, as reports suggest it has both encouraged Hamas to retain hostages and acted as a mediator at the behest of the White House. Despite minimal pressure from the United States for Qatar to threaten Hamas with expulsion, no substantial action has been observed from Qatar.

In Gaza, IDF operations aimed at clearing Hamas have led to daily eliminations of dozens of terrorists, specifically in the northern regions. Around 1,000 terrorists have been arrested in Jabaliya alone, with another 1,000 eliminated. Civilians who evacuated these areas have received food, water, and assistance from IDF troops. Notably, the absence of human shields has made Hamas easier to target and defeat. In parallel, humanitarian aid has been a contentious issue; the IDF facilitated the delivery of 11 trucks of aid under threat from the Biden administration, despite concerns that such aid sustains Hamas.

In the north, Hezbollah has been consistently firing 80-120 projectiles daily at Israel, with many impacting Arab villages. These villages have not only sustained significant damage but have also reported most of the recent injuries. The IAF has responded by targeting up to 100 Hezbollah sites in Southern Lebanon, including parts of Beirut, Tyre, and other locations. During these operations, IDF troops have confiscated over 66,000 Hezbollah weapons and discovered infrastructure like training bases and tunnels near the Israeli border.

The conflict has also drawn in other regional actors. The Houthis in Yemen launched a ballistic missile intercepted over the Dead Sea area, and Iranian-backed militias in Iraq regularly launch attack drones at Israel, leading to frequent aerial battles. Amidst these developments, the Biden administration has controversially halted a shipment of heavy-duty D9 bulldozers to Israel, citing concerns over destruction.

As negotiations for a ceasefire in Lebanon progress, the conditions discussed include a 60-day fire pause with efforts to remove Hezbollah from Southern Lebanon villages. Despite potential U.S. and Russian involvement, figures like Benny Gantz oppose the ceasefire, suggesting it could merely delay further conflict. Meanwhile, the IDF continues to expand ground operations in Southern Lebanon, finding hidden Hezbollah infrastructure that points to long-term strategic planning.
