**Elon Musk Joins Trump Campaign, Slams Government Regulatory Hurdles**

In a recent interview on 'Fox & Friends,' former President Donald Trump discussed why Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, has started actively campaigning for him, primarily focusing on Pennsylvania. The tech billionaire has thrown his support behind Trump, with government overregulation at the forefront of his rallying points.

Musk, who endorsed Trump over the summer following an attempted assassination on the former president, has made his presence felt on the campaign trail. His primary objective is to bolster American business expansion by cutting through government red tape. Harnessing his experience as a business leader and visionary in technology, Musk's speeches have become synonymous with pointing out the absurdity of excessive regulations.

Musk took to X early Sunday morning to announce his intention to disclose a peculiar incident where SpaceX was allegedly compelled by the government to kidnap seals for testing purposes. His comment followed a Pennsylvania campaign speech where he shared a "nutty story" about SpaceX being required to study the likelihood of its Starship rocket hitting marine creatures, like sharks and whales.

Describing the study, Musk said the National Marine Fisheries Service demanded an analysis to determine Starship's risk to sharks, despite not providing necessary shark data. This led to a frustrating back-and-forth that almost seemed comedic. Eventually, SpaceX acquired the data and confirmed minimal risk, but not without additional queries about potential impacts on whales.

The former president hinted at a potential future role for Musk in his administration. Trump suggested that if re-elected, he would consider creating a new governmental position, "Secretary of Cost-Cutting," which Musk could fill. Trump emphasized Musk's unique suitability for the role, given his extensive business obligations, which may prevent a typical Cabinet position but align with a specialized focus on reducing government waste.

Reflecting on a discussion from August between the two, Musk reiterated his concern about government overspending contributing to inflation. He emphasized the importance of a government efficiency commission to re-evaluate senseless expenditure.

Musk ramped up his campaigning efforts in Pennsylvania last week, citing personal connections to the state from his time at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1990s. His speeches have not only addressed SpaceX's contributions to innovation but also highlighted bureaucratic obstacles, such as a $140,000 EPA fine for using drinking water to cool a launch pad.

Arguing that the nation should prioritize building inspiring industries over navigating endless regulatory hurdles, Musk's message seemed to resonate with many. His active campaigning has stirred concern among Democrats, particularly given Pennsylvania's critical role in the forthcoming election.

As the battle for Pennsylvania intensifies, Democratic Sen. John Fetterman has urged his party not to underestimate Musk's potential to sway voters in the state, a pivotal battleground that could determine the election's outcome.
