### Elon Musk to Promote Absentee Voting in the Philadelphia Area

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the owner of X, is scheduled to visit the Philadelphia region this Thursday. The billionaire's visit is part of a town hall event aimed at promoting absentee and early voting for the 2024 election. Scheduled for around 4 p.m. in Folsom, Delaware County, this appearance is one in a series of talks Musk is giving in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

Musk, who has previously voiced his support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, announced the series of events on X. The town hall is organized by America PAC, a pro-Trump super PAC that counts Musk among its supporters. Attendees are required to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments and must be registered voters in Pennsylvania. Additionally, Musk specified that attendees must have already voted in the state.

The petition, described as being "in favor of free speech and the right to bear arms," offers $47 to supporters for each registered voter they can get to sign. This initiative is targeted at voters in seven battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, until October 21. The winner of the 2024 election will become the 47th president of the United States.

Plans for additional town hall events with Musk in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg are also in the works, although specific dates and times have yet to be determined. Musk's current series of talks will run from Thursday until Monday, October 21.

Earlier this month, Musk joined Trump on the campaign trail, appearing at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. This event marked Musk's increasing involvement in supporting Trump's bid for the presidency, especially significant following an assassination attempt on the former president nearly three months ago. The exact location of Musk's town hall event in the Philadelphia area had not been disclosed as of Thursday morning.
