### Elon Musk Questions Lack of Assassination Attempts on Biden and Harris

In a recent interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk once again questioned why no assassination attempts have been made on Vice President Kamala Harris or President Joe Biden. Musk, who owns the social media platform X and is a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump, labeled the idea of assassinating Harris as "pointless."

Musk first aired this controversial line of questioning in a social media post last month, which attracted the attention of the Secret Service and was subsequently deleted following backlash. However, during his conversation with Carlson, the Tesla CEO revisited the subject, joking about it and questioning the rationale behind any such attempts.

"I made a joke, which I realized - I deleted - which is like: Nobody's even bothering to try to kill Kamala because it's pointless," Musk said. "What do you achieve?" He added that Harris would merely be replaced with "another puppet" if she were killed and reiterated that attempts on Biden's life would be equally fruitless.

Seemingly unaware of the previous controversy, Carlson questioned whether Musk had indeed raised this issue on social media. Musk confirmed it, acknowledging the backlash and clarifying his stance. "Some people interpreted it as though I was calling for people to assassinate her, but I was like... Does it seem strange that no one's even bothered?" Musk said. "Nobody tries to assassinate a puppet."

Musk promoted the interview on his X account, describing it as an "off-the-cuff conversation." Though the Secret Service is aware of Musk's remarks, it has declined to comment further on the matter.

In light of recent assassination attempts on Trump, Republicans, including Trump himself, have called for increased civility from political opponents. During a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump suggested that his political adversaries might have instigated the attempts on his life, a sentiment echoed by his running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio.

Responding to a user on X following the recent attempt on Trump's life, Musk noted, "no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala." The remark drew significant criticism, leading the White House to label it as "irresponsible" rhetoric. Although Musk initially resisted deleting the post, he eventually did so, claiming it was meant as a joke.

Despite Musk's questioning, there have been instances where individuals have been charged for making death threats against Harris and Biden. For example, a Virginia man was charged in August for making violent threats against Harris and other public officials, including Biden.

Musk's involvement in Trump's campaign has deepened recently. He endorsed Trump following the assassination attempt in July and has been actively supporting a super PAC working to mobilize voters for Trump. Musk has even pledged full support for Trump, who has promised to appoint Musk to lead a government efficiency commission if he returns to the White House.
